Sid Burgos aka SID daGreat “The People's Hypeman” is a modern day renaissance man. He is a host, emcee, event producer, content creator and so much more. Known for his high energy he is a highly sought after personality. As a host, SID has worked events for television networks and movie studios such as Comedy Central, Animal Planet, Warner Brothers, and Paramount. He’s emceed for various brands such as Allstate, Simple, Purina, Zespri and more. He has also worked at major events such as SXSW, San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, and Spring Break.
Not only does SID have a proclivity for the live events he also is an avid content creator. He curates a micro vlog on his Instagram that focuses on travel and adventure. To date, the vlog has taken him to over 20 cities, in 15 states, 7 pop culture events and 2 Caribbean Islands. He was co-creator and co-host of TOP5 w/ FRED & SID, a Youtube based web series offering color commentary on pop culture and the internet’s best viral videos. He is also a contributor for Livin’ Americana, a collective of producers, artists, editors, musicians, and journalists who are passionate about telling the story of Latinos.
Prior to transitioning in to social media platforms, he was an event producer at the world famous 92nd Street Y. During his tenure, he co-produced and managed over 1500 events with guest including a-list celebrities, media personalities and dignitaries. He was acknowledged by the late Howard Zinn in his book The People Speak: American Voices, Some Famous, Some Little Known for his contributions in assisting with organizing the event of the same name.
Additionally he is a board member for Healing Queenz, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on supporting, empowering, motivating and educating women who are struggling morally, physically, spiritually, and financially through support groups, workshops, and programs.
He travels across the United States hosting and producing events for corporate and non-profit clients alike.
